Portrait no.7

This is supposed to be a photograph, specifically mimicking those early photographs from the 1800s. However, since Squidward isn’t real I had to paint it to look like a black & white photograph. All photographs at the time were pretty much rendered in black & white because the technology at the time did not allow for colors to be rendered yet. Anyways, the specific photograph I tried to replicate was Mrs. Herbert Duckworth by Julia Margaret Cameron, which captures the figure in a very dramatic light. In this way I tried to capture Squidward in the same way Cameron captured “Mrs. Herbert Duckworth’s” grace & sturdiness.
